The applicant to enter the Escuela Profesional de Ingeniería Civil at Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (UNI) must have:

Knowledge of:

The graduate of the Civil Engineering Professional Program is able to:

  1. Design, analyze, and dimension concrete, steel, and timber structures applying principles of solid mechanics, structural dynamics, and current codes (E.060, E.090, AISC) to ensure safety and serviceability.
  2. Plan, schedule, and control infrastructure projects using modern methodologies (PMBOK, Lean Construction, BIM), optimizing resources, costs, and timelines across all lifecycle stages.
  3. Evaluate mechanical properties and behavior of soils, rocks, and construction materials, designing shallow and deep foundations that guarantee stability under static and seismic loads.
  4. Model and design water supply systems, urban drainage, sewer networks, and hydraulic structures, considering hydrological demands, water quality, and risk management.
  5. Manage construction works, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, supervising quality, occupational safety, and compliance with technical and environmental specifications.
  6. Apply transportation engineering principles in the design of roads, intersections, and traffic systems, optimizing vehicular flows and analyzing impacts on urban mobility.
  7. Integrate sustainability criteria, circular economy, and climate change mitigation in the design of resilient infrastructure, evaluating environmental impact and carbon footprint.
  8. Use specialized software (SAP2000, ETABS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, Plaxis) for structural modeling, geotechnical design, project management, and technical documentation.
  9. Communicate technical proposals through construction drawings, design reports, calculation memoranda, and presentations to regulatory entities, clients, and communities.
  10. Continue graduate studies in structures, geotechnics, project management, or sustainable engineering, leading innovation in critical infrastructure at the national level.
